Alison Stark

Occupational Therapist

Alison has been working as an Occupational Therapist across a range of adult and pediatric clients for many years, having graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2003.  Over this time, she has discovered a passion for working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and mental health challenges and has recently been working with young parents and families who have experienced domestic and family violence, and homelessness.

Alison has done postgraduate study in Mental Health as well as completed various evidence-based training courses in the use of drumming and rhythm as a therapeutic tool to build social and emotional development.

Alison's approach to her practice is fun, strengths-based and collaborative.  She brings a sense of curiosity and compassion to understanding children and all the varied ways they communicate to tell us what's going on inside.

On the weekends, Alison enjoys any activity that involves the beach, cooking some great vegetarian food and hanging out with her husband and three kids.
