Nathan Trimble

Psychologist

With nearly 14 years of experience in the out-of-home care sector, Nathan has built a career dedicated to supporting and empowering vulnerable children and adolescents. Over the years he has held a variety of roles, including youth worker, educator, team leader, caseworker and behaviour specialist. Following completion of his studies Nathan now practices as a generally registered psychologist. Nathan has worked across the lifespan, with a focus on supporting children ranging from early childhood to early adulthood. 

Nathan holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a range of additional certifications and professional development relevant to his work. Throughout his career, he has supported individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and various social, educational, behavioural and interpersonal struggles.

Believing that felt safety underpins effective psychological practice, Nathan focuses on building strong, trusting relationships with both his clients and their families. He understands that the foundation of effective care is creating an environment where people feel secure and heard. Nathan loves to incorporate play, humour, music and creativity into his work as methods of generating rapport.

Outside of his professional life, Nathan is a father of three and enjoys a variety of hobbies, including playing and recording music, gaming, DIY projects, and spending quality time with friends.
